Get Landmark Notifications

The Notification tab lets you specify email addresses to be notified when a tractor (QTRACS application) or trailer (Trailer Tracks application) arrives at or departs from the landmark. The notification email lists the unit ID, date/time of arrival/departure, and the landmark name and address. The additional information field lets you include a personal comment in the notification email.

If you use the Driver Workflow application, you may also set up pre-arrival workflow notifications that are triggered by your Workflow integration.

Note: If your company uses enhanced positions, email notifications may show a different time stamp from the arrival or departure position in the QTRACS or Trailer Tracks applications. Talk to your customer service representative if you want email notifications to be sent again with the adjusted timestamp when this occurs.
  1. Click to select the landmark and set notifications.
  2. Click the Notification tab below the map.
  3. Click the type of notification to set.
  4. Click edit above the details on the right.
  5. Check the box to send (arrival or departure) notification.
    More fields appear to enter notification email addresses and other information.
  6. Type an email address and click Add.
    You can send notification to any valid email address. For example, if this is a customer landmark, you may send email to the receiving manager when the truck arrives at the dock.
  7. Continue adding email addresses until you are finished.
  8. To remove an email address, click to select it and click Remove.
  9. Type more information in the box below email addresses.
    The text is placed in the email. For example, if you send notification to the customer's receiving manager you may include the name of the driver in this text field.
  10. When you're finished, click save.
