User Settings - Alert and Notification Preferences

The Alert and Notification Preferences tab lets you view and change how you are notified for high, medium, and low priority alerts for all Services Portal software. The alerts you receive are specified by your company.

If you use QTRACS software, users can enable QTRACS message notification in their QTRACS Preferences, and the alert priorities are used for notification of new messages as follows:
Normal return messages Priority return messages Panic messages
Low-priority settings Medium-priority settings High-priority settings

Alerts always appear in the Alerts list, which is accessible from all Services Portal software. Message notifications do not appear in the Alerts list. For each alert priority, you can select one or more of the following additional methods of notification:

Receive in Notifier window
Receive notifications in the Notifier window by flashing the icon and playing a sound. This notification is active as long as you are logged in to the Services Portal. The Notifier window opens automatically each time you log in.
Send e-mail
Receive a notification e-mail for every alert and return QTRACS message. To check this box, the E-mail address field must have a valid entry.
Send to pager
Receive a notification message on your pager for every alert and return QTRACS message. To check this box, the Pager e-mail address field must have a valid entry.
Alerts also sent to your QTRACS message directory for (software)
Indicates whether alerts from listed software appear in your message list.
