For companies that use an MCP200 or MCP110 mobile unit and Trailer Tracks devices, the mobile unit can alert the driver with a text-to-speech (TTS) message about trailer disconnect events.

If the vehicle is being driven (in motion) and these events occur, typically there is a problem with the connection or the trailer tracking device. This can cause a large number of messages to be "spoken," which is a possible distraction to the driver.

Check the Suppress audible trailer alerts while in motion box to disable the TTS message while the vehicle is in motion. The TTS message still occurs when the vehicle is stopped and a disconnect event is generated.
