Forward Macro Creation Best Practices for the MCP

The MCP has text-to-speech capabilities. These best practices ensure that the information is understood by the driver.

• Use standard macro dictionary entries as much as possible.
• If you do create a custom entry, use the correct macro field type.
• Move important what and where information to the top of the macro.
• Use STATE and not ST as the label. ST is read as "street."
• Add colons at the end of labels to create logical pauses.
• Wherever you have room, add a period at the end of a line to prevent run-on sentences.
• Do not use angle brackets in labels.
