Creating Prefilled Macro Maps

Create prefilled macro maps.

If you haven't used prefilled macros before, please read the rules and tips in the overview. It includes mapping a key block.

  1. Click Setup, then click the Macros tab.
  2. Click View Prefilled Macros.
  3. Click Create New.
  4. Select the forward and return macros to map and click Submit. The macros appear side-by-side.
  5. To map fields:
    • Click the field to map in the forward macro. The field type and length appear below the macro template.
    • Click the field to map to in the return macro. The field type and length appear below, and must match in the forward and return macros.
    • Click Map fields.
  6. To prevent the driver from changing copied data, click Toggle protect. The field color changes to show that it's protected. Click Toggle protect again to change it back.
  7. To create a key block:
    • Click Create key block.
    • Click the first field of the key block. This is usually the first field in the first column. Click Next.
    • Click the last field of the key block. The entire key block is highlighted. Click Next.
    • Type the number of sets repeating data, typically the number of rows in the key block. Click Done.
    • Click the field in the key block to map to the return macro. The column highlights.
    • Click the corresponding field in the return macro and click Map fields. Continue until all fields are mapped.
  8. When you're finished, click Save.
