Edit Geofences
Geofences are rectangular, virtual boundaries set around a geographic location you specify. You can be notified when a trailer exits or enters a geofence. Default settings for geofences are defined in Company Settings. The geographic center point for the geofence can be based on:
- The trailer's last known location as of the date the geofence is scheduled to begin
- The trailer's last known position
- A custom landmark, such as a trailer yard
You can modify geofence settings at any time. After you create a geofence, it remains in an unknown state until the trailer sends a status report or you ping the trailer.
Note: The geofence must be active before the date fields are available.
- Click the Trailers tab.
- Click the trailer ID.
- Click the Settings tab in the trailer detail panel below the map.
- Click the
Geofence sub-tab.
- To edit an existing geofence, click edit.
- To create a new geofence, click activate.
- Change the settings, including alerts.
- Click save.
