Trailer Overview: Specs
Trailer Specs shows the detailed trailer specifications. If you have permission to edit trailers you can edit the specifications. These fields are blank or "Unknown" if they have not been changed. The fields include:
- Trailer Type
- Brief description of trailer. Trailer types are defined in Setup.
- Length
- Type the trailer length in feet, up to 80 feet.
- Door Type
- Select the type of door: Roll, Swing, or Other.
- Suspension Type:
- Select the type of suspension: Air, Spring, or Other.
- Lift Gate
- Select whether the trailer has a lift gate.
- Roof Type
- Select the type of trailer roof: Aluminum, Translucent, or Other.
- Manufacturer
- Type the vehicle manufacturer.
- Model Year
- Type the year of manufacture.
- VIN
- Type the vehicle identification number.
- Custom Specifications (up to 3)
- Specify up to three additional specification labels and values for this trailer. For example, you might want to specify the (label) Tire Manufacturer and the value "Goodyear." You cannot use any of these special characters: [ ] { } \ " _ ^ ~ ` |.
- These custom specifications are sent to and stored on owned (not foreign) TT210 terminals (requires TT210 8.02 firmware or higher). For other types of trailer devices, these specifications are for reference only.
- Ping
- Click to locate a tethered or untethered trailer. For reefers, it includes a request for the reefer status. Tethered reefers must be connected to receive a status request.
- Activate
- Click to activate Emergency Tracking. This does not appear for tethered trailers. For more information, click Should I ping or use Emergency Tracking?
